What is Gastritis
Gastritis is a name so common recently that we all know it, but I prefer to explain it in simple words.
The stomach naturally produces acid to be able to process the foods we eat regularly, but like everything else in this life, it should be a moderate amount, just the one needed to be able to fulfill its normal function.
When the stomach produces excessive gastric acid is what is commonly known as gastritis.
Normally you will feel the stomach a little inflated, with air that comes out by means of eruptions or of the known airs, can be seen accompanied by reflux that is but the same acids wanting to leave by the mouth.
These acids that the body produces stop being aggressive, so they burn the throat and irritate the esophagus.
Once you have been diagnosed with a gastritis, you will first be prescribed anti-acids, which will precisely help your stomach produce only what it should.
If after the end of the treatment indicated by the doctor the symptoms persist then you may have an endoscopy done by the mouth to look at the damage caused by gastritis.
As well as knowing if you do not have a bacterium that produces it, its name Helicobacter Pylori, this bacterium is only eliminated with very aggressive antibiotics.
There are times when gastritis can be triggered by stress and there is no merely physical damage.
In this case the doctor may recommend some options to control your stress or even some relaxant, but in cases where the damage is very severe it is possible that you channel with a psychiatrist.
This is because the connection between the brain and the stomach is very large and it may be necessary for a psychiatrist to have to prescribe medicine to relax and control your nervous system.
